Aliya Jasmine and Aliza Sovani, first-generation Canadian sisters and daughters of Ugandan South Asian refugees, are the powerhouse duo behind Earth Tones, a purpose-driven media company. Aliya Jasmine is a veteran environmental journalist and TV host, with experience on major networks like NBC, MTV, and Discovery. She holds a master’s in Environmental Journalism from USC and has produced award-winning stories across media platforms. Aliza Sovani is a Harvard-trained landscape architect and scholar, known for her work on sustainable urban parks and gardens worldwide. She has collaborated with renowned organizations like the Aga Khan Trust for Culture and UNESCO. Together, they blend media expertise with environmental design, creating engaging, cross-platform content aimed at amplifying underrepresented voices in the green movement.
Their unique backgrounds and experiences drive a mission to create multimedia content that addresses critical issues such as climate justice, public health, and environmental equity, making them ideal partners for brands committed to sustainability and social responsibility.
